Carolina Legal Associates

CLA has an immediate need for experienced legal administrative assistants to join a well-established and fast-paced law firm located in the Charleston, SC area. This position will provide receptionist coverage and assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative duties.

 Sample Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, greet clients, intake, process mail, including scanning into the firm’s case management system
  • Copies, scans and files documents
  • Prepare letters to clients for case rejection, closing etc.
  • Arrange for depositions and meetings
  • Assisting the paralegals and attorneys with correspondence and other administrative duties as assigned

Minimum and Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a law firm
  • High school diploma is required but an associate’s degree or higher is preferred
  • Able to handle sensitive material with discretion
  • Excellent word processing skills and knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • A professional demeanor is required
